The 1964-65 season was always going to be special for Ron Greenwood's West Ham United. Having won the FA Cup the previous May for the first time in their history, the Club then embarked on a European adventure that saw them defeat La Gantoise of Belgium, Spartak Prague of Czechoslovakia, Lausanne of Switzerland and Real Zaragoza of Spain in the semi-final to set themselves up with a Wembley Cup Final for the second year in succession. This time, though, they faced the powerful TSV Munich 1860 of West Germany. West Ham's team that day at Wembley in front of a capacity 100,000 crowd was without regulars Johnny 'Budgie' Byrne, John Bond and Peter Brabrook, but replacements Martin Peters, Alan Sealey and Brian Dear all contributed fully to a memorable 2-0 West Ham victory, none more so than Alan Sealey whose two goals in the 69th and 71st minutes settled a wonderfully sporting final in favour of Greenwood's East London side. This was the second of three memorable cup finals at Wembley for West Ham United captain Bobby Moore, who was to captain England to a World Cup Final success the following year in the same stadium, again facing tough West German opposition. Almost forty years on, two veterans from the original 1965 Cup winning team, Ken Brown and Brian Dear, met at Upton Park to watch the game and recount their memories from that incredible night. The late Alan Sealey's wife Barbara and his son Anthony also share their thoughts as part of a unique DVD bonus section available alongside the full ninety minutes footage from the game, with additional photographs and memorabilia from the Cup run that season.
